BETOTHANE 100 is a fast reacting polyurethane foam that is mainly used to act as a waterstop for the sealing of leakages or to stop active water leaks with a flow and/or high hydrostatic pressure.
BETOTHANE 100 provides excellent adhesion to mineral construction materials such as concrete, bricks, metals and certain plastics.

Product Description

BETOTHANE 100 is a single component MDI-based water reactive polyurethane injection resin that has a low viscosity when in contact with water forms a temporary hydrophobic seal.

 

BETOTHANE 100 when in contact with water forms a carbon dioxide gas that produces a swelling pressure thus making the resin to expand into foam sealing all water penetration.

Packaging, Coverage / Consumption

Packaging:

BETOTHANE 100 is supplied in:

  • 12.7 kg Resin (Part A) and
  • 14.3 kg Hardener (Part B) kits
Shelf Life & Storage

Storage:

Keep the product in dry and covered shed with a temperature between +10°C and +30°C. If stored properly, BETOTHANE 100 has a shelf life of 12 months.

Application Information
Instructions for use

Mixing

Mix Resin (Part A) and the Catalyst (Part B) thoroughly. Inject the mixture with a single component pump (manual, electric, pneumatic) in the crack. Because of the low viscosity, the resin will penetrate deep into the cracks. BETOTHANE 100 polymerizes into a rigid hydrophobic foam.

Cleaning

Clean the used tools with SOLVENTE 10 every time there is a need to stop the work for more than 15 minutes and immediately after completing the job and before the product dries.

Recommendation

  • BETOTHANE 100 could easily react with water or humidity in the air and forms CO2 gas that could build up pressure in the packaging that has been opened.

Health & Safety

Wear gloves, goggles to avoid any contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact in the eyes and skin, wash abundantly with warm water and consult a doctor. Ensure adequate ventilation at working place. 

Absorb spilled resin of BETOTHANE 100 with sand and dispose according to the local regulations.
