Application Information
Instructions for use

Surface preparation

All surfaces should be structurally sound, clean, dry free from dust, grease, oil, laitance, curing compounds and all other contaminants likely to prevent the adhesive bonding.

Concrete surfaces: New concrete should have a compressive strength of 20Mpa minimum. The surface should have a fine wood floated or lightly broomed finish and be 28 days old.

Mixing

The base and hardener components should be individually stirred to re-disperse any settlement. Transfer Part B into the can of Part A and mix thoroughly using a slow speed electric drill with a paddle attachment. Scrape the sides and bottom of the can to assure complete mixing until a uniform consistency and color is obtained.
When less than a full unit is mixed, use 2 parts by weight of part A to 1 part by weight of part B. Tiles should be placed within the open time of the adhesive.

Application

Spread the mixed adhesive on surface to be tiled with a notched trowel, large enough to give 100% coverage when tile is pressed into the adhesive.
Place the tiles onto the adhesive bed. Apply sufficient pressure on the tile during fixing it with slight twisting movement in order to ensure good contact with the adhesive.
In case of large size tiles, it is necessary to spread the adhesive also to the backside of the tile and then place the tiles into the adhesive bed.
Apply enough material that can be tiled during the adhesive’s open wet time. Spreading large areas may result in drying the adhesive before tiles can be fixed causing poor adhesion.

Finishing

Remove excess adhesive with damp cloth before the material has set. Joint grouting between tiles may be commenced 24 hours after tiles are laid on the floors.

Cleaning

Tools and equipment should be cleaned with water immediately after use. Hardened materials should be mechanically removed.

Recommendations

  • Do not apply during high winds and sand storms
  • Do not apply under direct sun, high temperature reduces pot life.
