Technical Information
Product Description

PRIMER A18 is a one-component water based synthetic resin with high penetrating power. It is perfectly resistant against diluted acids and alkalis. Due to the extraordinary fineness of its particles, PRIMER A18 penetrates deeply in the support, guaranteeing a good hardening degree. PRIMER A18 waterproofs the surface and improves adhesion of plaster, ceramic tiles, wall paper, etc. to the surface.

Application Information
Instructions for use

Surface preparation

The surface must be dry clean, free from grease substances, paints, curing compound or any inconsistent parts, in order to allow the resin to penetrate effectively.

Mixing

Stir the product before use. If used as a Paint primer, dilute with water at a ratio of 1: 1.

Application

PRIMER A18 can be applied with a brush, roll or sprayer.

The product must penetrate in the support and must not remain in excess on surface.

Wait for about 60 minutes before applying the next consecutive coat.

After about 6 hours from applying the product, plastering, ceramic tiles or any other covering can be applied.

If used as anti-dusting agent, PRIMER A18 must be applied in more than one coat, with care to spread it uniformly and in small quantity at a time.

Cleaning

Clean the tools with water when the product is still wet. Dry residues should be removed mechanically or with a solvent.

Recommendations

  • After curing, PRIMER A18 gives a slightly wet effect to the surface. This effect can be more or less intense (and uniform), according to the porosity of support
  • All the tools used for the application of PRIMER A18 must be cleaned with water before its hardening
