Latex Modified Cementitious Tile Grout for Joints 4-20 mm Wide

Uses
NEOFIL TILE GROUT THICK can be used for sealing up to 20 mm joints width for ceramic tiles, clinker, quarry tile, mosaics, etc. It is suitable for floors and wall joints internally and externally, including kitchens and bathrooms.
To obtain high resistant characteristics (heavy traffic) or high waterproofing resistance (swimming pools), it is recommended to mix NEOFIL TILE GROUT THICK with GIUNTOLASTIC instead of water.

Technical Information
Product Description

A fine colored latex modified powder composed of cement, quartz, synthetic resins and waterproofing additives which when mixed with water gives smooth, easily applied grouting mortar with high mechanical resistance and compensated shrinkage.

NEOFIL TILE GROUT THICK is produced in a variety range of colors which matches all types of tiles.

Application Information
Instructions for use

Surface preparation

Make sure that the tile adhesive has totally set before applying NEOFIL TILE GROUT THICK. The joints  must be clean and free from dust. Clean the joints between tiles with brush before grouting.

Mixing

Mix 0.75 – 0.90 liters of cold, potable water (or GIUNTOLASTIC instead of water as needed), in the mixing bucket and add slowly 5 kg bag of NEOFIL TILE GROUT THICK under continuous mixing until a uniform lump free consistency mix is achieved.


Application

After mixing, let the material rest for about 10 minutes, then remix and spread using a rubber grout float.

Let the product set for about 20 minutes and then clean with a damp sponge. After the material has hardened completely, clean the surface of the tiles with a dry cloth.

Cleaning

All used tools should be cleaned with water before the product cures.

Recommendations

  • Do not apply NEOFIL TILE GROUT THICK in rainy weather, high winds and during sand storms
  • Do not apply on surface that has temperature less than 5°C.
  • During summer season, working area should be covered to prevent direct sun effects. Keep equipment cool and use cold water
  • The product should not be exposed to moving water during application
  • Apply NEOFIL TILE GROUT THICK when the joint is totally dry.
  • In case of very high absorbent tiles or high temperature, dampen the joints with clean water.
  • It is recommended to grout the joints after 24 hours of tile fixing.  
  • Since temperature and humidity conditions affect the final curing, it is advisable to allow extended periods of cure when temperatures are low and/ or relative humidity is below 70%.
Additional Information
Health & Safety

NEOFIL TILE GROUT THICK can be harmful to skin as it contains cement powders which may releases alkalis when mixed with water.

 

During application, wear appropriate protective clothing, goggles, gloves and respiratory equipment if necessary.

 

In case of contact with skin, rinse with water and again wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical advice accordingly.

 

If ingested, obtain medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
