Application Information
Surface Preparation

The surface of the substrate shall be sound, clean and uncontaminated. This preparation shall be such as to leave a sound exposed surface free from dust, loose particles and any deleterious matter. If the surface is defective or has laitance, it must be cut back to a sound base.

New concrete or cementitious surfaces should be at least 28 days old and have moisture content not exceeding 5%. Old or existing surface should be refurbished mechanically to ensure clear and sound substrate.

Mixing
Mix Component A and Component B thoroughly using a heavy duty slow speed drill paddle for 2-3 minutes until a homogenous mix is achieved.

Instructions for use

Application
Place the tile onto the adhesive bed. Apply the product onto the support with a toothed spatula, spreading it at first with the straight edge of the spatula, and immediately after with the toothed one.

Apply sufficient pressure on the tile/board during fixing it with slight twisting movement in order to ensure good contact with the adhesive.
If a tight waterproofing is required to the substrate, spread PUCOL on the sub base with the smooth spatula and leave a thickness of at least 2 mm.

After about 24 hours, apply the second coat of product for the tile fixing. In case of large size tiles, it is necessary to spread the adhesive also to the backside of the tile and then place the tiles into the adhesive bed.

Finishing
Remove excess adhesive with solvent before the material has set. Joint grouting between tiles may be commenced 12 hours after tiles have been laid. Final hardening is about 7 days.

Cleaning
Clean tools and equipment with Solvente 10 immediately after use. Remove the hardened material using mechanical means.

Monneli Primer A16

Synthetic Resin Primer

Uses
PRIMER A16 is used for the preventive treatment prior to laying of ceramic tiles with the cement adhesive on gypsum boards. Such application on the supports avoids the chemical reaction between the gypsum sulphates and the cement aluminates contained in the adhesives for ceramic tiles, which in case of humidity presence could provoke breakaway of tiles.
It can be also used at gypsum or very porous supports before painting with acrylic or vinyl paints, to avoid too fast drying.
PRIMER A16 is used on light weight plaster and other porous surfaces such as asbestos boards, on wood, hardboard, chipboard, and so on, before fixing ceramic wall and floor tiles in the usual way.
