Application Information
Instructions for use

Surface Preparation

The substrate should be clean, smooth, dry and free of any deleterious material. Remove loose particles, laitance, dust and oil.  Ensure the substrate is smooth and free of defects, providing 45-degree angular reinforcement at all plane changes to eliminate sharp transitions.

Priming

Apply PROOF HDPE PRIMER uniformly to all vertical surfaces and allow it to become tack-free before proceeding with the membrane installation.

Membrane Installation

Gradually unroll the PROOF HDPE 1500 PA onto the prepared surface while progressively removing the release liner. Firmly brush or press the membrane to ensure complete adhesion and remove any trapped air. Adhere to minimum 50 mm overlaps at both edges and ends. Stagger all end laps to prevent the creation of continuous weak points. All intersections between walls and the base slab, as well as internal and external corners, must be reinforced with a reinforcing strip at least 300 mm wide. If top edges will be exposed for more than 48 hours, they should be secured with mechanical fixings or battens to prevent slumping.

Protection

Use protection boards or screed to protect vertical and exposed membrane areas prior to backfilling. Ensure all protection boards maintain continuous, flush contact with the membrane throughout the backfilling process. Implement measures to prevent displacement or shifting caused by the movement of fill material or compaction equipment.
