EPOFINISH ULTRA is designed to provide repairs to surfaces in different situations such as:

Fine crack repairs in structural components, like bridges, industrial structures, columns, beams, foundations, walls and floor slabs

Technical Information

Product Description

A solvent free, two components, easily workable epoxy mortar. EPOFINISH ULTRA is based on a combination of epoxy resin and specially selected fine fillers.

EPOFINISH ULTRA becomes a cosmetic mortar that could be applied directly to fill in pores, blemishes over concrete, and seal cavities & fine cracks in structural components. It is also used for pin hole filling prior to application of epoxy coating.

Shelf Life & Storage

Storage:

Store in original, unopened pack in covered, dry store. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight. Do not keep in stores with temperature less than +5°C or more than +30°C. It has a shelf life of 12 months if stored as recommended.

Application Information

Instructions for use

Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be clean, sound, free from grease, friable material, curing compound, etc. Dust should be removed by brush or compressed air.
All necessary repairs for wide cracks, degraded concrete, expansion joints, etc. should be made using one of the recommended range of concrete repair products before start to apply EPOFINISH ULTRA.

Mixing
Stir the hardener and base separately. Empty the hardener content into the base container and mix the two components thoroughly, till a uniform homogeneous paste is obtained. For perfect mixing, a low speed electric motorattached with a suitable paddle is recommended.

Application
Apply the mixed product using a trowel, scraper or filling knife. EPOFINISH ULTRA is a thixotropic workable product which makes it easier to obtain a smooth finished surface. Once the applied layer is cured, abrade slightly and clean from dust using compressed air before applying epoxy coating or finishing paint. EPOFINISH ULTRA is designed to filling pin holes and to re-profiling and leveling irregularities in concrete surfaces prior to applying any epoxy coating system. Application thickness depends on substrate profile. The range of thickness will vary from feather edge up to a maximum of 1 mm.

Cleaning
Tools and equipment should be cleaned with SOLVENTE 10 immediately after use. Hardened material should be removed mechanically. Spillages should be absorbed with sand or sawdust and disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Recommendations

Do not use during rainy days or if temperature is less than +5°C.
Application should not be carried out when atmosphere humidity exceeds 90%, or when the surface to be coated is less than +3°C above the dew point.

Additional Information

Health & Safety

During application, wear appropriate protective clothing, goggles, gloves and respiratory equipment if necessary. In case of contact with skin, rinse with water and again wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical advice accordingly. If ingested, obtain medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
